Numbers 24:2
“Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.”
What does Numbers 24:2 mean?
Balaam was a prophet hired to curse Israel, but when he actually looked at the people and saw how they were organized and flourishing, something shifted in him. The Spirit of God came upon him in that moment, overriding his original intention. It's a striking image of how direct encounter can change perspective, and how God's Spirit can work even through unlikely people or situations. Sometimes what we need is to really *see* what's in front of us, and to be open to how the Holy Spirit might work through that seeing to redirect our hearts.
