What does Numbers 23:20 mean?

Balaam, a pagan prophet hired to curse Israel, finds himself unable to do what he was paid to do. After encountering God, the blessings flow from his mouth instead, and he realizes he's powerless to undo them. There's something deeply reassuring here: once God has spoken a blessing over his people, no human scheme or word can cancel it out. For anyone wrestling with doubt or feeling like they're under a curse, this verse whispers that God's declarations of favor are more powerful than any opposing force. The blessings God speaks are final and irreversible, even when circumstances or other people suggest otherwise.
