What does Numbers 21:10 mean?

This brief verse marks one of many stops during Israel's forty-year journey through the wilderness after leaving Egypt. Oboth was a station along their route, and the simple act of traveling and setting up camp shows the rhythmic, grinding reality of their long wandering: day after day of movement, rest, and movement again. For people in difficult seasons, there's something quietly comforting here. The Israelites didn't reach their destination overnight, yet God kept providing for them at each stop along the way. Even when progress feels slow or the journey seems endless, showing up to the next camp, the next day, the next place of shelter matters. You're not meant to do it all at once.
