What does Numbers 18:12 mean?

God is telling the priest Aaron that he and his descendants will receive the finest portions of what the Israelites bring as offerings, the freshest oil, wine, and grain. Rather than these gifts going to waste, they're being set aside to sustain the people who serve in the temple and lead worship. It's a practical way of saying: those who dedicate their lives to serving God and the community will be cared for through the generosity of others. The principle still speaks today, reminding us that supporting those called to spiritual work matters, and that sharing our best with God often means taking care of those around us who are giving their lives to what matters.
