What does Numbers 16:45 mean?
God is telling Moses and Aaron to step back from the Israelites so that His judgment can fall on the rebellious people. In this moment, the community has challenged Moses's authority and God's chosen leadership, and the situation has become so dire that separation is necessary—the faithful leaders must remove themselves to safety before consequences arrive.
