Numbers 12:11
“Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.”
What does Numbers 12:11 mean?
Aaron is pleading with his brother Moses after he and their sister Miriam have spoken against Moses out of jealousy and doubt. He's asking Moses not to hold their foolish words against them, acknowledging both their error in judgment and their actual sin. What makes this moment tender is that Aaron speaks for both himself and Miriam, taking responsibility even as he asks for mercy from the one they criticized.
