What does Numbers 10:25 mean?
The Israelites were organized into twelve tribal camps arranged in a specific order as they traveled through the wilderness. Dan's tribe had the important job of bringing up the rear, protecting everyone else as they moved forward, and this verse simply records that they did so under their leader Ahiezer. It's a practical detail showing how the entire community coordinated its movements, with each group having its own role and responsibility.
