Nehemiah 7:70
“Some from among the heads of fathers’ households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred thirty priests’ garments.”
What does Nehemiah 7:70 mean?
When the people of Jerusalem were rebuilding their temple walls after exile, they needed resources. The leaders stepped up first, setting an example of generosity for everyone else to follow.
