What does Nehemiah 4:12 mean?
The people rebuilding Jerusalem's walls faced real danger from hostile neighbors, and fear was spreading through the community like wildfire. Ten times over, those living near the trouble spots kept bringing the same discouraging message: attacks could come from any direction, at any moment. This captures that exhausting feeling when everyone around you keeps repeating the worst-case scenario, wearing down your courage with constant warnings of disaster.
