What does Nehemiah 3:20 mean?

Baruch threw himself into rebuilding a section of Jerusalem's broken wall with genuine urgency and care. This detail might seem small, but it shows how regular people, not just leaders, were essential to the city's restoration after exile. The fact that his work is specifically named and located suggests that everyone's contribution mattered, whether you were a priest like Eliashib or someone whose name we'd otherwise never know. When we're working toward something important, our "portion" of the work, done faithfully and wholeheartedly, makes a real difference to the whole.
