What does Nehemiah 3:13 mean?
Nehemiah is recording the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls after exile, listing each group responsible for different sections. Hanun and his community took on the valley gate and the surrounding wall, doing the full work from construction to installing the working doors and bolts, so the gate was truly functional and secure.
