What does Nehemiah 13:10 mean?
When Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem after being away, he discovered that the temple workers—the Levites and singers responsible for worship and service—weren't receiving their regular support, so they'd abandoned their duties to work their own land just to survive. This reflects a practical, heartbreaking reality: when people can't feed themselves through their calling, they have to leave.
