What does Nehemiah 11:36 mean?

During the return from exile, the Jewish people had to figure out where everyone would live. The Levites (who served as priests and temple workers) weren't given their own large territory like the other tribes, so some of them ended up settling in areas that officially belonged to Benjamin. This verse captures a practical reality: the boundaries between tribal lands weren't always rigid, and people did what made sense for their families and their work serving the temple. It reminds us that after hardship and displacement, communities have to rebuild in flexible, sometimes unexpected ways.
