Nehemiah 10:11
“Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah,”
What does Nehemiah 10:11 mean?
This verse is simply a name from a list of Levites (temple workers and teachers) who signed a covenant renewal document during the rebuilding of Jerusalem after exile. These men were committing themselves and their families to uphold God's law and support the restored community and temple. While the names might seem disconnected from our lives today, they represent real people who chose to be part of something bigger than themselves during a difficult season of rebuilding. Their willingness to sign on shows us that spiritual commitment often happens not in grand moments, but when ordinary people decide together to follow God through the work of restoration.
