Nahum 1:12
“Yahweh says: “Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so they will be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.”
What does Nahum 1:12 mean?
This passage offers a striking balance of warning and comfort. God first addresses the enemies of Judah, declaring that no matter how powerful or numerous they are, they will be destroyed and swept away like nothing. Then God pivots directly to his own people, reminding them that while he has disciplined them through hardship, that season of punishment is ending.
