What does Micah 6:15 mean?
The prophet Micah describes a frustrating kind of emptiness, where all your hard work produces nothing you can actually enjoy. You do everything right on the surface, you labor and you toil, yet the fruits of your effort slip away before they can nourish or sustain you. This was Micah's way of warning that when people turn away from justice and mercy, God allows their blessings to become hollow—the work remains, but the reward disappears. It's a picture many recognize in hard seasons: the exhaustion of striving without seeing anything come to completion, or having what you've built taken from you. The verse doesn't say God makes you fail; it speaks more of a natural consequence, the way disconnection from what matters leads to spiritual and material emptiness.
