What does Micah 3:7 mean?

Micah speaks to false prophets and fortune-tellers of his time who claimed special knowledge from God but were really just misleading people for profit. When God's true judgment comes, these fraudsters will be exposed and silenced, left with nothing to say because God has never actually been speaking through them at all. The image of covering their lips is one of shame and helplessness, like someone caught in a lie with nowhere left to hide. For anyone today caught between genuine faith and empty spiritual claims, this verse reminds us that what's false eventually crumbles, while what's real endures.
