What does Matthew 8:25 mean?

The disciples are caught in a terrifying storm on the Sea of Galilee while Jesus sleeps in the boat. Their cry reveals how desperately human we become when facing something beyond our control, and how naturally we turn to Jesus even when doubt clouds our faith. What's striking is that they already know who he is, yet fear still overwhelms them, and they have to wake him as if he's somehow not aware of their danger. This moment captures something very real: in genuine crisis, we often feel abandoned by God even as we're reaching out to him, and that messy contradiction of faith and terror is exactly what Jesus meets with when he wakes.
