What does Matthew 8:15 mean?

When Jesus touches Peter's mother-in-law while she's burning with fever, something shifts immediately. Her body responds, the fever breaks, and she rises to serve, all in one fluid movement. What matters here isn't just the healing itself, but that it's complete enough to restore her to full life and activity, not just to lying there recovering. There's something beautiful in how she responds to being healed. She doesn't need time to adjust or recuperate, she doesn't say thank you and rest, she gets up and serves. For someone who has experienced sudden restoration to health and wholeness, serving others flows naturally from gratitude. This kind of healing changes not just what happens to us, but who we become and what we do next.
