What does Matthew 4:21 mean?
Jesus was walking along the Sea of Galilee when he spotted two fishermen brothers, James and John, working alongside their father Zebedee. They were doing ordinary work, the kind they'd probably done their whole lives, mending nets that had torn from daily use. Jesus simply called to them, and this brief moment marks the beginning of their journey as his closest followers. There's something beautiful in this: Jesus didn't wait for these men to have their lives perfectly arranged or to feel ready. He found them in the middle of their regular work and invited them into something far greater.
