Matthew 24:45
““Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?”
What does Matthew 24:45 mean?
Jesus is asking us to imagine a servant trusted with real responsibility, someone given charge of feeding and caring for an entire household. The "food in due season" means doing what's needed at the right time, not hoarding or neglecting, but showing up with what people actually require when they need it. This question invites us to think about what faithfulness really looks like when we're given trust or responsibility, whether that's in a family, workplace, or community. Jesus isn't asking this to make us anxious, but to help us see that being trustworthy means paying attention to what's actually needed around us and meeting those needs with care.
