What does Matthew 21:34 mean?
A landowner sends servants to collect what should rightfully be his, expecting the farmers working his vineyard to hand over their harvest. It's a straightforward transaction that should be simple and fair. But this parable is building toward something harder: the farmers are about to refuse, mistreat, and even kill the servants. Jesus uses this story to show how God has patiently sent prophets and messengers throughout history, only to have them rejected by those who were supposed to nurture faith and pass it forward.
