What does Matthew 14:25 mean?

The disciples had been fighting rough waters all night, exhausted and afraid, when Jesus appeared walking toward them on the water itself. The "fourth watch" means it was just before dawn, the darkest and longest part of their struggle, when they were most worn down. What makes this moment powerful isn't just the miracle of walking on water, but the timing: Jesus shows up exactly when the disciples are at their most vulnerable, when they've been alone in the dark for hours. It's a tender reminder that Jesus doesn't abandon us in our hardest moments, and that help often comes right when we feel most forsaken.
