Matthew 12:28
“But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come upon you.”
What does Matthew 12:28 mean?
Jesus is pointing to something remarkable happening right in front of his listeners: he's driving out demons, and this isn't just a parlor trick or the work of dark powers. It's the Spirit of God at work, which means the Kingdom of God is arriving right now, in that very moment. The religious leaders were trying to say he cast out demons by satanic power, but Jesus turns it around to show that what they're witnessing is actually God's power breaking through into the world. When God's Kingdom comes, evil loses its grip, and freedom becomes real for those trapped by it.
