Matthew 10:31
“Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.”
What does Matthew 10:31 mean?
Jesus is reminding his disciples (and us) that our worth isn't something we need to earn or prove, and it doesn't depend on our circumstances or how the world measures us. He's saying this right after telling them that God notices even when a sparrow falls, so if God pays attention to something as small and seemingly insignificant as a bird, how much more does he care about you. When you're anxious about your life, your safety, or whether you matter, this verse is an invitation to trust that you're precious to God, not because of what you do or have, but simply because you're his.
