What does Matthew 1:5 mean?
This genealogy traces Jesus's lineage through some surprising people. Rahab was a woman from Jericho who helped Israel's spies escape, and Ruth was a foreigner from Moab who showed extraordinary loyalty to her mother-in-law Naomi.
