What does Mark 7:26 mean?

This woman came to Jesus as an outsider—not Jewish, but Greek and from the region of Phoenicia (modern-day Lebanon). She had heard about Jesus and believed he could help her suffering daughter, so she overcame any hesitation about approaching someone from a different faith and culture. Her desperation and hope drove her to seek him out, showing that sometimes our greatest need pushes us past the barriers that might otherwise keep us away. This moment sets up one of the most striking conversations in the Gospels, where Jesus responds to her bold faith in a way that changes everything.
