What does Mark 5:14 mean?
When the pig herders saw Jesus cast demons out of a man and into their entire herd, which then drowned in the lake, they ran off in shock and spread the word throughout the region. News like that travels fast, especially when it involves something so dramatic and strange. The whole community came rushing out, driven by curiosity and probably concern about what kind of power had just shown up in their town. It's a very human response: when something extraordinary and unsettling happens nearby, people want to see it with their own eyes and figure out what it means.
