Mark 4:3
““Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,”
What does Mark 4:3 mean?
Jesus is inviting his listeners (and us) into a simple, recognizable scene: a farmer scattering seed. This opening "Listen!" signals that something important is about to unfold, even though it starts with everyday work. The farmer doesn't know which seeds will land on rocky ground, which will be choked by weeds, or which will fall on good soil where they'll flourish. Jesus uses this parable to help people understand how God's word works in our lives, suggesting that the same message lands differently depending on the condition of each person's heart.
