What does Mark 4:14 mean?
Jesus is describing how God's message spreads through the world, using the familiar image of a farmer planting seeds. The "farmer" represents anyone who shares faith, whether through teaching, conversation, or simply living out their beliefs, and the "word" is God's message of love and redemption. Just as a farmer scatters seeds knowing some will grow and some won't, those who share their faith plant seeds in people's hearts without controlling the outcome. This verse reminds us that our role is simply to share what we know to be true and let God handle what grows from it.
