What does Mark 3:7 mean?

After facing mounting opposition from religious leaders, Jesus stepped back from the crowded synagogues and headed toward the water with his closest followers. Word of his healing power had spread so widely that people kept seeking him out anyway, streaming toward him from the surrounding regions. Even in retreat, he couldn't escape the hunger people felt for his presence and help. This moment captures something real about following Jesus: sometimes the deepest work happens not in the spotlight of public confrontation, but in the quieter space where he gathers with those who are genuinely seeking him.
