What does Mark 3:5 mean?
Jesus notices the Pharisees watching him carefully on the Sabbath, waiting to catch him breaking their rules by healing someone. Their rigid interpretation of the law had become more important to them than the suffering right in front of them, and that grieves him deeply. His anger isn't a loss of control, but a righteous response to seeing people's hearts turned away from compassion and toward judgment. Then he does exactly what they're hoping to catch him at, because healing a person matters more to him than winning a debate about Sabbath rules. The man's hand is instantly made whole. Jesus shows us that real obedience to God flows from love, not from fear of breaking the wrong rules.
