What does Mark 15:7 mean?
Barabbas was a prisoner awaiting execution alongside Jesus, known for leading an armed rebellion against Roman rule and killing people in the process. When Pilate offered the crowd a choice between releasing Jesus or Barabbas, they chose the criminal, and an innocent man went to his death instead.
