What does Mark 14:48 mean?

Jesus is pointing out the absurdity of how the authorities are arresting him. He's been teaching openly in the temple for days, easily accessible to anyone, yet they've come with weapons and soldiers as if capturing a dangerous criminal. His question invites them to see the contradiction: if he were truly a threat or someone hiding, this show of force might make sense, but he's been standing in plain sight the whole time. There's something deeply unfair about the excessive force, and Jesus names it. Even in his arrest, he's confronting the injustice of the moment and asking his accusers to consider what they're actually doing.
