What does Mark 14:28 mean?

Jesus is reassuring his disciples during what will be his final night before crucifixion. He's telling them that even though everything is about to fall apart, death won't be the end of the storyβ€”he will rise again and meet them back in Galilee, the region where so much of his ministry began. This wasn't meant to comfort them in the moment (they were too afraid and confused to take it in), but it became a lifeline of hope after the resurrection actually happened. The promise shows Jesus thinking beyond the immediate darkness to restoration and renewed relationship with his followers.
