What does Mark 12:31 mean?
Jesus is saying that the entire law and all the prophets come down to just two things: loving God with everything you have, and treating others with the same care and respect you naturally want for yourself. When he calls these two commandments greater than all others, he's cutting through endless rules and obligations to show us what actually matters most.
