What does Mark 11:25 mean?
When Jesus talks about forgiving others while we're praying, he's pointing to something deeply connected: our own ability to receive forgiveness hinges on our willingness to let go of grudges. It's not that God is keeping score in a punitive way, but rather that holding onto bitterness creates a barrier between us and the grace we desperately need. If we're unwilling to extend mercy to others, we're essentially closing ourselves off from receiving it ourselves. This doesn't mean we have to feel warm and fuzzy toward someone who hurt us, but rather that we choose to release our grip on the offense and move toward freedom, both for them and for ourselves.
