What does Mark 11:18 mean?
The religious leaders heard Jesus teaching in the temple and became desperate to find a way to kill him. Their fear wasn't about what Jesus said being wrong, but about what his popularity might mean for their own power and position. When people are amazed and drawn to someone else's authority, those who've held power start to feel threatened, and that threat can twist into something dangerous.
