Malachi 3:18

Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him.

What does Malachi 3:18 mean?

The prophet Malachi is speaking to people who feel like their faith hasn't mattered, that good and bad people are treated the same way. He's promising them that God sees the difference, even when the world doesn't. There will come a day when everyone will clearly understand who truly served God and who turned away, and the distinction will finally make sense. This is comfort for anyone who's wondered if being faithful actually counts for something. When life feels unfair and it seems like righteousness goes unrewarded while selfishness thrives, Malachi reminds us that God hasn't lost track. He knows the difference between a heart devoted to him and one that isn't, and ultimately that knowledge will matter.
