Malachi 3:10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for.”
What does Malachi 3:10 mean?
God is inviting the people of Malachi's time to trust him with their resources, specifically by bringing their tithes (one-tenth of their produce or income) to the temple storehouse where priests and the poor were supported. He makes a bold promise: if they do this, he'll open heaven's floodgates and pour out blessings so abundant they won't have room to contain them all. This isn't a business transaction or a formula that guarantees prosperity, but rather an invitation to experience what happens when we align our trust and generosity with God's character. The challenge "test me now" shows God isn't asking for blind faith but inviting them to see for themselves what faithfulness produces.
