Luke 9:15
βThey did so, and made them all sit down.β
What does Luke 9:15 mean?
After Jesus had asked his disciples to feed the five thousand with just five loaves and two fish, they needed to organize the massive crowd. This simple sentence captures that moment of obedience, when the disciples arranged everyone into groups so the miraculous meal could be distributed fairly and orderly. It reminds us that even in situations that seem impossible or overwhelming, sometimes what's needed first is just the willingness to do what we've been asked, even if we don't yet understand how things will work out. The disciples couldn't multiply food, but they could follow instructions, and that faithful small step made space for something greater.
