What does Luke 5:4 mean?
Jesus had just borrowed Simon's boat to teach crowds from the water. After finishing his message, he turned to the exhausted fisherman with an unusual request: go back out and fish in the deep water. Simon had worked all night without success, so this would have felt like a waste of time and energy. Yet something in Jesus' presence and authority moved Simon to obey despite his weariness and doubt.
