What does Luke 4:39 mean?

When Jesus healed Simon Peter's mother-in-law from her fever, he did something striking: he spoke directly to the illness itself as if it were an opposing force. The fever obeyed and released her, and within moments she was well enough to get up and serve her guests. This wasn't a gradual recovery where she needed rest and time to regain strength, but an immediate, complete restoration. Luke includes this detail about her serving to show the realness of the healing, but also to hint at something deeper about what wholeness means: once freed from what was holding her back, she naturally moved toward caring for others.
