What does Luke 22:42 mean?
Jesus is in the garden facing his arrest and crucifixion, and he's being honest about his fear. He asks God to take away what's coming—the suffering, the death, the weight of it all. But then he surrenders, choosing God's purpose over his own desperate wish for escape.
