What does Luke 18:39 mean?
A blind man is calling out desperately to Jesus as He passes by, and the crowd around Jesus is trying to shut him down, telling him to be quiet. But instead of accepting their rejection, he shouts even louder, addressing Jesus as the promised Messiah and asking for help. What's beautiful here is that his desperation overcomes his shame and the crowd's disapproval, because he knows Jesus is his only hope. This scene reminds us that sometimes persistence in faith matters more than fitting in or being socially acceptable, and that Jesus welcomes the bold cries of those who truly need Him.
