What does Luke 13:8 mean?
A vineyard worker is pleading with his master not to cut down a fruitless fig tree just yet. Instead of giving up on it, he's asking for one more chance to tend it properly, to dig around the roots and add nutrients so it might finally bear fruit. It's a beautiful image of someone advocating for grace and effort over judgment and loss. The worker believes the tree isn't hopeless, just neglected, and he's willing to do the hard work of restoration if given the opportunity.
