What does Luke 13:28 mean?
Jesus is describing the pain of missing out on what you most wanted. He's speaking to people who assumed their identity as descendants of Abraham guaranteed them a place in God's kingdom, but he's warning that being on the outside looking in, watching others enjoy what you expected for yourself, creates a particular kind of anguish.
