Luke 13:24
““Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able.”
What does Luke 13:24 mean?
Jesus is telling us that following him requires genuine commitment and intentional choice. He's not saying the door is narrow because God is stingy with grace, but rather that the path of discipleship demands we actually turn toward him, make real changes, and prioritize what matters most. The hard part of his message is this: many people will *want* the benefits of faith without the transformation it requires. They'll seek entry on their own terms, hoping to slip in without truly surrendering their lives. But that's not how it works. Real faith means actively choosing Jesus, letting him redirect how we live, and staying faithful even when it costs us something. The good news hidden in this warning is that the door itself remains open to anyone willing to walk through it. It's not about being good enough or smart enough, it's about genuinely reaching toward God and refusing to settle for a shallow version of faith.
