What does Luke 13:20 mean?
Jesus is about to tell a parable, and he's inviting his listeners to think alongside him. He's asking a genuine question: what in everyday life actually captures what God's kingdom is like? The beauty of this opening is that it assumes God's kingdom is knowable, discoverable in the world around us, not something locked away or mysterious. He's saying, in effect, "Let me show you something true about how God works by comparing it to something you already understand."
