What does Luke 11:3 mean?

Jesus teaches us to ask God for what we need to survive, one day at a time. There's something deeply freeing about this—instead of anxiously hoarding or worrying about tomorrow, we're invited to trust that today's provision is enough, and that we can return tomorrow with the same simple request. "Daily bread" means the basic necessities of life, the things that keep us going, and Jesus shows us it's not selfish or weak to ask God for them. This short petition reminds us that dependence on God for our everyday needs is exactly where we're meant to be.
